dogaIt’s time to give back to the furry creatures that make our hearts melt! March 23rd, 2015 is National Puppy Day! A healthy relationship with your puppy can translate over to better personal and work relationships. At the San Francisco Plastic Surgery and Laser Center, Dr. Usha Rajagopal and our staff love pups! Having a puppy is a responsibility and gives owners a sense of purpose. Many compare raising a puppy to raising a child – lots of work, but the love and happiness it brings is priceless.

Spending quality time with your loved ones is important, remember to make time for your pups! Did you know that you can do yoga with your dog? It’s called Doga, and is an excellent example of how to stay healthy, fit, and connected with your furry friend. Doga video tutorials can be found at http://dogadog.com/. In addition to Doga, simple activities such as taking your puppy on a walk or play date can be enough to relieve stress and anxiety. Owners can stay active by jogging or playing catch with their pups. It is also socially acceptable to strike up conversations with other puppy owners at dog parks or beaches and is a fantastic way to build positive connections. It is clear that puppies improve social, emotional, and behavioral well being. Celebrate today by having fun with your pup, or even consider adopting a furry friend!
